Shaya Motamedi is an Iranian Canadian grade 8 student, who has had a love for writing since she was in the third grade. She enjoys reading horror & thriller novels. Her other passions include being on her school’s basketball team and playing the piano.

Shaya currently lives with her family in Vancouver, BC.

The Garden of Magic and Witchcraft is her first published book, initially written when she was eleven years old.
